Jeep Wrangler is a niche and affordable off roader which has its genes from the original military jeep used in World War II. Used to transport supplies and heavy equipment, Jeep has not lost its tough image. In its third generation, with multiple revisions and redesigns Jeep has travelled decades through to consumer hearts since its debut in 1986. Jeep Wrangler is one of the prestigious names in automobile industry which has found its place among one and all.

The compact SUV built by Chrysler is enabled with four wheel drive and has a powerful engine. The 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 engine is not only strong but equally fuel efficient as well. The mileage rated is 17 miles per gallon (or mpg) in the city and 21 mpg on the highway. In 2013, it was voted as one of the best engines in Ward's 10 best engines of the year. The car produces a horsepower of 285 with a 260 lb-ft of torque.

Wrangler maintains top notch styling with iconic seven-slot grille, removable doors with removable top and has fender flares to look magnificent. Freedom Top hardtop with body color option is available on Wrangler Sahara and Wrangler Rubicon.

Wrangler enthusiasts have a choice of two body styles with the current model. The two door model has shorter wheelbase or the four door longer wheelbase Wrangler Unlimited. Sport, Sahara or Rubicon trim can be availed on both of the models.

There is ample room for storing and the experience inside it is unmatchable. Ergonomics with improved noise, vibration and harshness protection ensures a comfortable ride. The interior is well thought out with leather wrapped steering wheel with audio, call and other controls on it. The central console storage can be secured with locks. Alpine premium sound system has been used and the speakers output has been simply fantastic. The central dashboard has Uconnect 430N system for navigation with entertainment features including phone, web, bluetooth and Uconnect voice command control enabled.

All of the different Wrangler models include illuminated footwells and center console cup holder. The rearview has LED map lights to find a way. The dashboard also has automatic temperature controls which have adjustable heating and cooling cycles to maintain pleasant temperature thereby providing maximum comfort.

Safety and protection features are top notch as Wrangler boasts of a wide range of safety features with standard multistage advanced front airbags included. Occupants are also protected from impact from side with the incorporation of supplemental airbags fitted with sensor detection. It has on-road/ off-road four wheel disc, Anti-lock Brake System, Brake Assist and many more.

Among the other features Wrangler also has Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control features. Hill Start Assists maintains brakes for a short while to provide acceleration without rollback whereas Hill Descent Control monitors throttle, speed and brake when you are on your way downhill.

All the Wranglers may receive a facelift along with the introduction six new Jeep concepts. Rumor has it that Jeep is planning for the preview of 2015 Jeep Wrangler during the Easter Jeep Safari annual event in Utah.
